After winning the first 3 team matches of the season, Arden have now lost the last 2 albeit against highly rated opposition, meaning they have slipped from 1st to 3rd position in the winter league.
Last night Birmingham University came out stronger, wining 3-2 in a competitive match that saw only one 3-0 result - our Canadian import Ryan Picken, playing at 2 string. The previous week's match was also a great contest with local rivals West Warks, who fielded 4 players ranked in the top 100 in the world (3 male, 1 female). Despite that, Arden picked up a win at 4th String for Josh Saysell and narrowly lost 2 of the matches 3-2 (Chris Ryder and Hassan Khalil). Next week's match is against defending champions Sutton and we are hoping to have Joe Green back in the starting line up and Sam Osbourne-Wylde back from injury.
