RyderSquash academy players were out in force at the Manchester silver event this weekend. Hassan Khalil upset the seedings to reach the final of the U17s beating 2 seed Ollie Green before losing 3-1 to Franklyn Smith.
Sam Osbourne-Wylde played up an age-group and fell to the 1 seed in the U17 boys 3-1 and then finished a respectable 7th. James Averill had 3 five-set matches, winning 2 and losing 1 to finish 11th after drawing the unseeded eventual winner in the first round. Ali and Smiley Khalil competed in the U11 and U13, finishing 8th and 20th respectively. Well done everyone. Looking forward to the British National Championships in Nottingham in 2 weeks time.
