This charity tournament has been run in August for the last 3 years in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK and in memory of Tony Claydon.
A huge stock of wooden rackets (over 100) has been donated by former coach Nigel Orrett so we have enough to keep the tournament running for a good few years yet. The tournament is open to non-members who would like to re-live or find out how tough it is to play with a wooden racket!
We have been fortunate enough to have a guest pro each year in the form of Chris Ryder (2016) and Joel Makin (2017 & 2018). Competitors are allowed to challenge the pro with their normal racket whilst the pro sticks to a wooden one.
