Junior Academy Players
Hassan Khalil - Represented England at number 1 position in the U15 European Team Championships last year and is now making headway into the U17 UK rankings, currently 6th. He is targeting major junior trophies, having previously lifted the French Open and Welsh Open titles. A Solihull Arden Men's 1st team player.
Sam Osbourne-Wylde - A former British Junior Open runner-up at U13, Sam is a recent addition to the RyderSquash Academy and his hard work over the summer is already proving fruitful, picking up the first England Squash Gold event title of the season in Millfield before testing his mettle at U17 level. Also a Solihull Arden 1st team player.
Rosie Kirsch - Having pushed up to a high of 3 in the country at U17, Rosie has a fantastic attitude and work ethic that sets an example for others to follow. A regular at England squads and has represented the club, county and region with distinction. Rosie represents Solihull Arden Women's Team.
Dom Bayley - Worcestershire's number 2 at U17 behind Sam Osbourne-Wylde, Dom is a late-developer who is looking to better his highest national ranking of 23 in the new age-group. He has picked up a handful of winner's trophies at Bronze level tournaments and now has to start beating players in Silver and Gold tournaments. Dom also plays for Solihull Arden's Men's 3rd team.
Tom Watkins - Tom is a product of our school's mini-squash coaching and has recently won his first Bronze event and is working his way up the adult team system, currently playing for the 4ths. He's a very efficient mover with a good understanding of pace and height and he is now developing his short game.
James Averill - A top 20 player nationally with aspirations to get top 10 and beyond. James is the drop shot king of the group and a really good technician of the game. At only 12 he is already pushing adult team players and is looking to break into the teams during next summer.
Jack Awuye-North - Jack is fiercely competitive and plays at a high tempo with a great physicality coupled with a desire to learn and improve, which makes him a great prospect. Jack has just started breaking into Silver tournaments so we are awaiting some big results at the top level.
Smiley Khalil - Currently 6th in the country at U11, Smiley has some great skills and imagination and is improving his work ethic as he aspires to be one of the top juniors in the country. Recently he finished 5th at the British Junior Championships.
Ali Khalil - The youngest of the Khalil trio but equally as capable and possibly the most competitive of the lot! Ali's got a great touch and an eye for a nick, probably helped by the hours of PSA squash that he watches!
The RyderSquash Junior Academy includes players performing at a high level nationally and internationally. These players have consistently shown dedication to their sport and a range of skills on and off the court.
