Frequently asked questions:
Do i need to bring anything?
Just indoor non-marking shoes, appropriate clothing. We run range of classes that don't require much except enthusiasm! Adult beginners courses, Squash Fiit, Women's Racketball, Club Nights & many of the junior classes would all be appropriate.
Do I have to be a club member to have coACHING?
No. Non-members do have to pay a small subsidy to access the coaching (adults £2 per class & juniors £1 per class). We hope that you enjoy the sport and want to join up for the many benefits the club has to offer but there is no obligation to do so.
CAN I BORROW EQUIPMENT BEFORE I COMMIT TO PLAYING?
We have rackets to borrow available for all of our coaching sessions, adults and juniors.
What is racketball?
Racketball (also referred to as 'Squash 57') is a modified version of squash which uses a wider, shorter racket and a bigger, bouncier ball. Overall, it's an easier game to start playing and you'll get longer rallies albeit at a slightly slower pace than regular squash. It's a perfect cardio workout for players without a racket-sports background, or if you have struggled with joint injuries.
Am i too old/young to play?
Players at the club range from 3 years old to 94 so we think you'll probably be ok!
