Solihull Arden 1st team completed their second whitewash in two weeks to put them back in pole position at the top of the Warwickshire Division 1 table.
The match of the evening was between the first strings: Arden's Joe Green vs Leamington's Elliott Devred-Morris. Joe started with some flair and clinical shots not necessarily in-keeping with his attritional style, which he later put down to using his dad's racket! However, it was Elliott that held a 2 games to 1 lead after 40 minutes following some contentious decisions from the Canadian referee. A few pearls of wisdom to Joe between games from the experienced captain and the 'Green Machine' managed to step up the intensity and clinch the tie in 5.
Lower down the order, Chris Ryder won the battle of the club coaches against Jason Pike in straight games before Ryan Picken and Josh Saysell both won 3-1. Teenage squash sensation and renowned boxing prodigy Hassan Khalil won the dust-up at 5th string 3-0, perhaps demonstrating his new ruthless personality.
Next week we play Kenilworth away before returning to host Edgbaston Priory on 3rd December for the final match of the half.
